A geek pop musical written with Robert Maddock and Reza Jacobs about a one-armed man on a quest to be a whole entire person.
THE SPORTING LIFE
A play by Nick Jones and Rachel Shukert about dueling houses of ill-repute in turn of the century Chicago. Joe contributed some (appropriately filthy) songs.
CARSON MCCULLERS TALKS ABOUT LOVE
A play about the Southern Gothic author, written and starring Suzanne Vega with songs by Vega and Duncan Sheik. Joe performed various characters and played piano during the show’s run at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
THE JOE ICONIS CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR
Joe’s annual holiday show at Ars Nova, now heading into it’s fourth year! This out of control Christmas special features new songs, old favorites, tiny elves, enormous reindeer, an inebriated Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and an ungodly number of candy canes.
