Please join us for a work-in-progress presentation of Love in Hate Nation, the new musical written by Tony Award nominee Joe Iconis, composer/lyricist of the worldwide sensation Be More Chill, and directed by John Simpkins. The one-night-only concert event will be Saturday, August 17 at 7:00 PM in Two River’s Rechnitz Theater. Love in Hate Nation will have its world premiere at Two River in November, 2019, and we are thrilled to give audiences an early preview of the show as our company completes a one-week developmental workshop.

A love story between two girls, set in an early 1960’s juvie hall. Taking musical cues from wall-of-sound Girl Group pop and Riot Grrrl rock and roll, the show tells the story of young people caught between eras of a changing America and their attempt to break out of the boxes society has created around them.
